EverAfter began with a promise to my daughter.
I wanted to give her something that would outlast photographs and birthday presents. So I began writing stories for her — at Christmas, on birthdays, and for the ordinary moments in between. Stories that captured not simply what happened, but who she was at that point in her life.
As an author, I realised that a story can preserve something a photograph never quite can. It can capture a voice, a laugh, a way of seeing the world. It can hold the small details that, over time, become the things we miss the most.
That led me to a simple question: if every child deserves a story like this, why shouldn’t every family?
Every parent, grandparent and loved one leaves behind a lifetime of moments that shape the people around them. Too often those stories fade — not because they were unimportant, but because nobody had the opportunity to preserve them.
That is why EverAfter exists.
Every book we create is written with care, patience and respect, preserving not only the events of a life, but the person at its heart. Our hope is that, many years from now, someone will open one of these books and feel as though they have just spent an afternoon with someone they love.
